Movie Review: A Knight's Tale

This morning, I watched the film A Knight's Tale, which I enjoyed very much. Heath Ledger does an excellent job as William Thatcher, a former squire who rises through the ranks to become a knight. Before this, I had not watched any of Heath Ledger's films, and now I wish that he hadn't died. Anyway, I enjoyed the story of this movie very much. The jousting parts were awesome, especially the last one, where Count Adhemar flips off of his horse after Willam hits him. After watching this, I really want to see more of Heath Ledger's work (Brokeback Mountain is on TV this friday, which I'll probably tape), and some more medieval movies (Braveheart comes to mind as one I must watch).

Wow. I haven't updated this in a LOOOONG time. Luckily, it's summer (YAAAY!!!), so I'm going to try and update it more.

Anyways, to kick off my revival of this blog, is a simply hilarious video from last night's episode of one of my favorite TV shows, The Colbert Report.

Now I'm EVERYWHERE!!!

Well, in the month since I last updated this, I've signed up for many online forums/groups. First, there is DeviantART, which is the biggest art community on the internet (my profile is on the side of this blog. Second is Last.FM, also known as "The social music revolution" (my last 5/10 played songs are on the side as well). Also, I've joined the Paint.NET forums, which is a community of people that make art using the free graphics program Paint.NET. Here is my profile, and Here is my gallery.

Other than that, not much has happened to me in the past month. I did also create two new brickfilms, which are on my YouTube profile.

New Comic Strip

A word of caution to intelligent people about to see Meet the Spartans for the first time. This can (and will) happen.

Movie Review - Freedom Writers

Today, I watched the movie
Freedom Writers, which stars Hillary Swank as a young teacher who tries to show troubled high school kids in Long Beach, California, that they have a voice that needs to be heard.

I enjoyed this movie very much. I thought that it had a very good message in it, and one that everyone should know about. This movie was very emotional, especially in the scenes where the teacher tells the kids that no one will care about them once they are dead, and the teacher gets divorced. I find it amazing that this actually happened in real life, and I think that it can be accomplished anywhere else. The ending, where the teacher tells the kids that she is still going to be their English teacher for the rest of their high school days was a great ending, in my opinion.

Overall, a great watch. Anyone who wants to be inspired to make a change in their lives should watch this movie attentively.

My Rating: 9 out of 10

Now on Flickr

I've signed up on Flickr, a huge and very popular image hosting, sharing, and organizing site. I'm in the process of moving all of my images from my Maj.com profile to Flickr.

EDIT: Never mind. I've realized that Maj is much better with organizing. And more importantly, it's free (Better organization costs money). Luckily, I didn't delete anything yet.

2nd Edit: On second thought, I'll find some use for Flickr.

New Comic Strip

Enjoy!
